"But we don't have budget"

There is money sitting in your enterprise buyer's budget right now that you are not being paid from. It has a name for Microsoft customers: MACC.

One Partner1® client moved over $2 million through the Microsoft Marketplace in the six months after we got their Marketplace listing transactable.

I wrote the full guide here. A Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC) is a multi-million-dollar promise your customer already made to spend on Azure. Several of them are behind on spending it, and the clock is running out for the money to be spent.

Here are four things to know before your next enterprise deal:

1. Your software can be bought with money they already committed. If your offer is transactable on Microsoft Marketplace and MACC-eligible, the purchase draws down their commitment. You stop competing for new budget and start spending budget they're anxious to use.

2. A listing is not a transactable offer. A "Contact Me" button moves no money and touches no MACC. Only a transactable, Azure IP co-sell eligible offer counts.

3. The real revenue moves through private offers, not list price. That is where enterprise pricing and committed spend meet.

4. "We lost on price" is often "we didn't know where their budget was." A buyer with unspent MACC isn't price-shopping you; they're looking for eligible ways to spend.

What do you do next? If nothing else, here's your one move for this week: ask your top 20 accounts where their cloud commitments sit. The answer should reorder your priorities.

5. How do I make my product transactable? Through Microsoft Partner Center and by ensuring you have the appropriate technical configuration. Contact Partner1 to make your offer transactable in days, not months.
